First off, I get to announce a big Congratulations to my sister Heidi who gave birth to Issac James Wilson Sunday, February 22, 2009. Both mom and baby are healthy and well. I am sad I can't be near Heidi to help out and see the new little one but I am happy they are both doing well.

Over President's day weekend we went up to my parents for a visit. It was nice to see most of my family. Friday night my mom was watching my nephew Carter. Spencer loved playing with Carter. They pretended to eat ice cream, they played peek a boo under this blanket for a long time, etc
My mom loved having Spencer around, and Spencer loved being with his nanny. They always have fun times together. Spencer beams with happiness every time we go to nanny's house.
I can hardly believe how fast Spencer is growing. This picture was while we were at my mom's but now Spencer sits up almost entirely on his own. Last night we went to dinner at a friends and Spencer sat on the counter for 30 minutes by himself(with mom right behind him to catch him at any moment).

Spencer at Work

I am one of the luckiest girls in the world. I get to spend most of my time with both of my boys. I get to bring Spencer to work and help Mark out at our store.
Spencer is really starting to learn he can reach for things as exampled in this picture. He loves to help me open the mail at work and play with the envelopes. I think he tries to lick the sticky part:)
He usually takes a few small naps...
but once in a while we get him down for a long nap like this one. I love that he is still holding on to the toy. He is growing up so fast! We sure do love our little guy. This weekend we are going up to visit with my family. So, until next week Happy Valentines Day and Happy Presidents Day!

1. I can only leave my conditioner in my hair for 12 seconds. 11 doesn't make it soft enough and 13 makes my hair frizzy all day!

2. I love snow when it is fresh and clean.

3. I hate snow when it is dirty.

4. I usually go to bed before Spencer. Mark plays with him, watches the 10 o'clock news and puts him to bed.

5. I LOVE Ice Cream! I will eat ice cream with freezer burn because I love it so much.

6. I have never gotten a ticket.

7. I have traveled to 12 countries. Canada, Mexico, Korea, France, Czech Republic, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Germany, and of course the USA!

8. I love to dance. This is why I have been so many places. My favorite is clogging.

9. I am a sugar queen. I love sugar. Put candy in front of me and somehow it vanishes.

10. I have never mowed a lawn in my life.

11. I named my grandparents dog, Patches.

12. My favorite vacation is any time I get to be with family. I love our camping trips, movie nights at home, game nights, and food nights.

13. I had stitches in my forehead when I was 3. The worst part about it was that my mom was in Dallas when it happened.

14. I love Christmas traditions. Some of my favorites: deccorating my brother's grave, putting up the tree, making sugar cookies, opening up and showing off pajamas on Christmas Eve, and seeing my parents' faces when they open thier gifts.

15. I wish I had more time and money to do crafts. Anyone know where I can find more of either?

21. I love pillows! I sleep with 2 body pillows and 3 pillows for my head. I will substitute a body pillow for Mark on nights he lets me snuggle.

24. I enjoy drawing house plans. I have done probably 20 or so. I like to think about how functional I can make the space.

25. I write with my left hand but I do most everything else with my right hand.

Spencer's Piggies

Spencer has this obsession with his toes, or piggies as we like to call them. Last Tuesday at Young Womens he was playing on the floor I would tell him, "Spencer get you piggies" and he would immediately curl his feet up and grab his feet. He did it four times. I don't think that is coincidence. The things I am teaching my boy.

Not Much Is New

Well, as you can see from the title, not much is new with us. This month has been very slow at work. Mark went to Dallas, Texas to the annual lighting show to see new products and stuff. His uncle lives just outside of the city so Mark stayed with him. Uncle Richard always has the funniest jokes and Mark loves it!

While Mark was gone Spencer and I went to visit my family up north. It was a wonderful weekend full of relaxation. We were able to go to my brother Tim's Birthday party (Happy Birthday Timmy! We love you!). I also got to go to church and listen to my Dad give a talk. It was really good (based on Alma 26:6-8). It was a wonderful meeting. I would post a picture here but Mark usually does the camera work and I didn't get a single shot this weekend. To see a picture from Tim's party click on Tim and Shannon's blog. I was really thankful for the getaway weekend.

Since our return home Spencer had to get his four month shots. He got three of them. While recieving the shots he screamed but about thirty seconds after he stopped, looked up at the nurse, and gave her one of the biggest smiles ever! It was shocking to say the least. He has recovered relatively well and is back to his normal self (including sleeping through most of the night, thank heavens).

I have been a little under the weather this week with a stuffy nose and sore throat but Mark and Spencer seem to have avoided whatever I got. Those two are just healthy boys (and it isn't because of my cooking).

So, that is our news. Not much, but at least we are still alive and kicking. That is all I have for y'all.

Well, another year is here and we are ready for the journey. Last year brought: many lessons learned, love strengthened, and fun times had. We are so thankful for our new addition. We are amazed at how fast Spencer is growing up. He has started eating rice cereal ans seems to be enjoying that. Well, that is about it for now. Love y'all!
